Over the last week, with the tragic death that occurred in Minneapolis, we have seen Americans call for change. Most have done so exercising their right to gather and protest in an organized peaceful manner. Others have chosen to use this as an opportunity to create anarchy, loot and destroy private property and threaten the safety of civilians.
Over the course of the school year we have continually looked at how leaders throughout history have tried to allow people to co-exist and live in a civilized society.
We have also focused on the value of researching information, in order to get a complete understanding of a topic. The hope is that we can then make informed decisions based on truth, not personal bias or the influence of others.
