Find a piece of art, architecture or writing from one of the civilizations we have studied that you would like to examine closely. It might be a sculpture, a temple, a building, a tomb, a painting, a piece of jewelry or furniture, a ceremonial object of some kind or a poem, a hymn, or laws. Make sure a digital copy of the artifact is included in your analysis.

Part II: Create Your Own Artifact

Think of a simple tool or item you use in your everyday life. Using your research from your researched artifact to create one of your own. Your artifact should embody as much of the civilizations culture as possible. Think about the topics below and how you can incorporate as many of them as you can into your object. Your artifact should become the embodiment of what the civilization represents.
